Product Description
Do you want to build your own robot, but you don't have access to a 3D printer? Whether it's an open-source project like Koch Arms, LEAP Hand, or LeKiwi, or a personal project. ROBOTIS is committed to providing our community access to valuable resources, such as 3D printing. 3D printing is such a valuable resource for roboteers and makers, which allow rapid and affordable prototyping.
If you are interested in utilizing our 3D printing services, please reach out to us at america@robotis.com.
The Koch Leader, Koch Follower, LEAP Hand, LEAP Hand Lite, LeKiwi already have an option to purchase with 3D Printed Parts. We can also print any of the drawings we have on our Download Page.
How it works:
- Have your STL or 3MF file ready.
- Inquire at america@robotis.com with your intention to use our service.
- We will respond whether we can or cannot print your file.
- If the print is possible, we will provide a quote for the complete print, delivery, and lead time. (It will usually take about 2-3 business days depending on the size and quantity of the prints, as well as volume of print requests in the queue.)
- By default, we will print in PLA. Normally, in white or black, but other colors may be used based on availability.
Restrictions:
- We cannot create designs for you, or clean up imperfections in the design. If your file cannot be printed due to a design issue, we will let you know. (Any quick adjustments or optimizations for the print, we will do.)
- We cannot print any copyright, trademarked, or licensed files. This is strictly forbidden.
- We will not accept any non-robot related files to print. (We are not a print farm. Strictly lowering the barrier to entry and providing a service to our customers to help grow the robot building community.)
- Materials and colors will be assigned automatically, unless the customer is willing to pay the full cost to purchase filament.
